About SQIP: Practical Cybersecurity Consulting for Growing Businesses
SQIP began long before it became a real company. The name itself was something I created as a child, long before I understood what running a business truly meant. The idea stayed with me for years, and in October 2024 it finally became reality.
From an early age I was fascinated with technology and the way systems behave. I naturally gravitated toward understanding how things worked beneath the surface. and more importantly, noticing when something didn’t behave the way it should.
Sometimes the smallest inconsistencies reveal the biggest vulnerabilities. That mindset eventually led toward cybersecurity and infrastructure: identifying weak points in systems before they become real problems.
Seeing Risk From the Inside
While attending college, I worked in pest control. On the surface it seems unrelated to cybersecurity, but the role gave me a unique view into how businesses actually operate.
Third‑party vendors are often given access to areas most outsiders never see. storage rooms, offices, infrastructure spaces, and sometimes even server rooms. Walking through those environments made something clear: many organizations unintentionally leave themselves exposed.
Simple oversights like unlocked rooms, unattended systems, or unrestricted vendor access can create opportunities for problems most businesses never consider. Most organizations are not careless. they simply don’t realize where their vulnerabilities exist.
Why Security Matters
Privacy and security are values I take seriously. Modern businesses depend heavily on technology, but that technology also introduces new risks. Systems, networks, and data can become vulnerable if they aren’t designed and monitored carefully.
SQIP exists to help organizations identify vulnerabilities, strengthen their systems, and work with a cybersecurity consultant who can translate technical risk into practical action before small issues become serious problems.
The SQIP Approach
- Identify real vulnerabilities
- Implement meaningful improvements
- Maintain visibility across critical systems
Security should not feel mysterious or overly complicated. Organizations should be able to understand their risks, make informed decisions, and operate with confidence.
Who SQIP Works With
SQIP focuses primarily on helping small to mid‑sized businesses improve their security posture and technology infrastructure. Many organizations at this scale rely heavily on technology but do not have dedicated security teams.
By providing focused assessments, infrastructure improvements, and ongoing protection strategies, SQIP helps businesses operate with greater clarity and confidence across Colorado and remotely across the United States.
